(I’m a Fenty 190/230 or MAC C30 for reference, and have neutral/olive undertones). In fact, Bliss and Happy combined create my ideal blush colour. I personally wish Happy was slightly warmer, I think it would be more wearable. Happy is quite a bright cool pink, giving you a I-just-worked-out flush.

I picked up Bliss (matte), Happy (Radiant), and Joy (Radiant).īliss is a beautiful peachy pink, a great natural blush colour for light skin tones. These Rare Beauty Liquid Blushes come in two formulas: matte and radiant. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes – $26 CAD The concealer on the other hand I don’t think I’ll ever buy, since it seems to have less coverage than my tried and true NARS Radiant Creamy concealer.

The foundation looks pretty great from all the reviews I’ve seen, but until I’ve used up my much-loved Fenty foundation, there’s just no reason for me to buy another. (I didn’t buy the Rare Beauty foundation or concealer. So let’s break down the good, the bad, and the…meh of Rare Beauty. Some of these items I’m keeping, and some are getting returned. I’ve taken just over a week to test everything out myself, including wearing the products for a whole day to see how they last. I’ve gotta hand it to Selena Gomez and her team – I didn’t think I’d be purchasing anything from this launch, but after watching a bunch of Youtuber reviews, well, here we are. When I was suffering breakouts, I had to combine with another foundation to hide the hyperpigmentation underneath. So: Rare Beauty launched at the beginning of September, and despite the initial assumption that this would be just another cash grab by a celebrity slapping their name on some mediocre makeup products (catered to preteens), it turned out to be pretty awesome and very fairly priced. It feels like your skin and stays put and natural looking all day! I will say it is VERY hard to build coverage with this one though. I love this light, barely there coverage. The online quiz is pretty freaking accurate for your skin shade for just using photos though. However when I run out I will for sure be purchasing another, but may go a shade lighter. It looked so lightweight and effortless I thought it would be worth the try! Which it WAS! I love this foundation and is the closest to my natural shade I’ve found! It oxidizes a little, so its a little too on the yellow side for me still, but when I put it on as light as I do it matches just fine. Selena sold me on this one after watching how she applies. I have always preferred a light coverage foundation or a BB cream because my skin doesn’t need much coverage. I’ll be honest, this is the first foundation I have ever purchased outside of a drugstore. Below are reviews of all of the products I have used myself! All around, I love this brand and its message, and am happy to support. “It is makeup made to make you feel good in without hiding what makes you unique!” Selena has said from the beginning, she loves the beauty, fun, and creativity of makeup! However she encourages everyone to embrace what makes you, you and rathe r than use makeup to try to look like everyone else, use it to emphasize you’re uniqueness, which I LOVE! She doesn’t condemn makeup or make it to be something to help you blend in, but rather to express your creativity and embrace your looks! It also is a huge supporter of the Mental Health discussion and frequently donates to the cause and began its own foundation. I have been a fan of Gomez since her Wizard days and was all too excited to support the brand! However, her involvement in the company is only the tip of this incredible brand iceberg! The message of this beauty brand is absolutely beautiful. Rare Beauty has boomed since its launch in 2020, despite the events of the last year.
